How to Monetize Your Website With Ease

If you’re an online service provider, learning how to monetize your website should be at the top of your list. While your website is perfect for highlighting your services, there are even more ways to monetize your website without banking on a client to sign on to your packages.

Here's what it all comes down to - passive income. To learn how to truly monetize your website with ease, here are the top three things to include:

  • Affiliate Links and Discount Codes
  • Digital Products like templates or swipe files
  • Ads

Today, let’s optimize your website and create some extra cash flow! Sound good, Queen?

Monetize Your Website With Affiliate Links and Discount Codes

Affiliate links and discount codes are the number one way I recommend to monetize your website. Most importantly, these are the easiest to implement. This is because, as a business owner, most of the software you use for your day-to-day operations probably has an affiliate code. If not, you can always email and offer to promote their program for a small kickback!

A "Resources" page on your website is perfect for highlighting your new links and codes. For example, on my website, I have a resource page that features Honeybook, Flodesk, Planoly, Canva, Tailwind, and ClickUp. These are all tools that I personally use in my business and wouldn’t be able to function without. If you have tools that you’re equally passionate about, you can include them on your resource page.

P.S. If you are looking for discounts on these great tools, you can head here to check out the tools I recommend. Since I’m an affiliate of some of the companies on this page, I receive a commission whenever someone makes a purchase using my code or link. This doesn’t cost you anything extra - it often will actually save you money! As an affiliate, I’m able to snag some sweet discounts. I wholeheartedly endorse these brands, and I only recommend products/services that I use in my real life and straight-up ADORE. Enjoy!

P.P.S. If you decide to include a resource page on your website, be sure to also include a disclaimer such as the one above.

Monetize Your Website With Digital Products

As a service provider, the best part of running an online business is that there’s always the option to create an offer that can be packaged as a digital product. While digital products require more work up front, they also require less work in the long run. And, even better, they can be created for almost any industry! Whether you’re a photographer, a coach, or a service provider, your knowledge and expertise can be easily transferred into a digital product. This opens your business to sales on repeat, without much effort on your end.

For example, as a website designer, I offer Showit link pages as my digital product. These are perfectly customizable for your brand and can easily be inserted into the link in your Instagram bio. To learn more about these templates, you can shop here.

Digital products are also easily promoted on platforms such as Pinterest. Pins have a long life span and since Pinterest operates as a search engine, you’re able to target Pinterest users who are actively searching for what you have to offer. Sounds pretty sweet, right?!

Monetize Your Website With Ads

Ads are the final way I want you to learn how to monetize your website. While ads are a little scary to some people at first, learning how to set up ads for your website can be quite simple. You can use tools such as Adsense to copy and paste code into your website and from there, ads generate revenue for you without much more effort.

One thing to note is that your website should be in compliance with Adsense terms and conditions. Be sure you have all the necessary requirements in place before diving into this tip. But, once you do, you can sit back and watch the money roll in.
