Leanne + Katie - A Christmas Wedding

We arrived at Katie’s home in Sanford, North Carolina ready for a fun-filled wedding day. We were greeted with smiles by Katie’s aunt, at the front door of her sister’s beautiful home. It was decked out in Christmas decor, a beautiful representation of the Christmas themed wedding that Katie and Leanne had planned. The property was surrounded by a beautiful lake, that made for an epic view when the sun started to set. The beautiful pinks and purples of the sunset were to die for.

When Katie and Leanne pulled up to the home, I was thrilled to finally meet them! We greeted each other with squeals and hugs, excited to spend this beautiful day together capturing their most precious moments of the day.

Leanne found me on Instagram and we became fast friends. With our shared love of MFM and Harry Potter, I knew that we would have so much fun over the next couple of months as I helped them plan their wedding.

The event would be a more intimate wedding. Close friends and family only, just the people that meant the most to Katie and Leanne. Leanne’s family also traveled from Ireland to be a part of their daughter’s big day.

Katie had been living in Kentucky pursuing her engineering degree, while Leanne – still living in her home country of Ireland and pursuing her career in film. Their love story is one of a kind. They met online three years ago, with over 3000 miles between them, but before long they knew. Knew that in each other they had found a home, no matter how far apart their lives were. They knew that neither time nor space could keep them apart, and when Katie proposed, Leanne knew that she had found her soulmate.

This wedding was not only a testament to their commitment to each other but a symbol that when two people love each other – nothing can keep them apart.
