When I met Kayla and Zach at Starbucks – I knew we would be fast friends! They were both so sweet, and their relationship is so fun. They love to laugh, which if you know me, means they are my kind of people. Their Blue Ridge Parkway Engagement session took place at the Pisgah Overlook on a foggy day, which meant I was in for some amazing photos!
Zach is a kind and mild manner guy but utterly hilarious, and Kayla has the sweetest demeanor – traits of those truly born and bred in the south.
We picked an overlook off of the Blue Ridge Parkway that overlooks Pisgah Moutain. This overlook is one that gets overlooked a lot – probably because it is pretty far up the mountain. But once you make it up there – wow! The views are to die for, and there are several little hidden pathways! They look like something straight out of a fairy tale with a moss-covered stairway leading further up the overlook as the cherry on top of this dreamy location ice-cream sundae!
It was so much fun to be able to capture such a fun couple! We laughed the entire time!
I love engagement sessions because it gives me a chance to get to know the couple on a more personal level. And they get lots of posing practice… Which Kayla was very excited about! She couldn’t wait to practice at home – how sweet is that!
Kayla and Zach’s wedding is just a short three weeks away, and I couldn’t be more excited!
These beautiful portraits will just have to tide me over until then!
